英语句子中的谓语动词要和主语在人称和数上保持一致,而在实际运用中又有一些具体情况,概括起来,主谓一致要遵循以下三个原则:
1.语法一致原则
主语的数不受后面修饰它的短语的影响。如:
TomtogetherwithhisparentshasvisitedtheGreatWall.汤姆和他父母一起游览过长城。
Thenumberofstudentsinourschoolisrising.我们学校的学生人数在上升。
2.意义一致原则
有的主语看似复数形式但表示的是单数意义,谓语动词一般用单数形式;

表示抽象概念的动词不定式和v.-ing形式作主语时,谓语动词一般用单数形式;
