一、教材分析
本单元的话题是“successandsuccessfulpeople”。围绕这一话题展开听、说、读、写的训练。通过介绍LangLang,BenjaminFranklin,PierreLan,DrHong,NelsonMandela,MichaelJordan,MrsWang等不同行业成功人士的故事,向学生展示了各行各业成功人士的经历,帮助学生理解成功的内涵。其中通过LangLang的成功事例,渗透了一个人走向成功,要付出比常人更多的艰辛,及善于捕捉机会。语法知识是首次出现的过去进行时。
二、教学对象分析
学生对“successandsuccessfulpeople”的话题比较感兴趣。学生和教师可以在教学过程中介绍自己熟知的成功人士并谈自己的体会。并以此为契机,教育学生要想成功就一定要从现在起开始努力。
