1)当我们把一个人介绍给另一个人时,常用句型Thisis…意为“这是……”。如果介绍距离我们较远的人时,则用Thatis…或That’s…意为“那是”,一般不用Heis…或sheis…。一般来说,从交际习惯上来看,先把年轻人介绍给长者;在宾主之间,先介绍宾客;男女之间,先把男士介绍给女士。如:
Hi,Lisa.Thisismyclassmate,Linda.喂,丽沙。这是我的同学,琳达。
—Mom,thisismyfriend,Tom.妈妈,这是我的朋友,汤姆。

2)that’s是thatis的缩写形式,但须注意,thisis是不能缩写的。

3)句中and是并列连词,意为“和”。它可以连接词与词、短语与短语、句子与句子,用来表示并列关系,有时在句子中可以不翻译。如:

Icanreadandwrite.我能看书、写字。
2.Thesearemyfriends.(P14)这些是我的朋友们。
Thosearemybrothers.(P14)那些是我的兄弟们。
当介绍的是两个或两个以上的人时,可用“Theseare…(这些是……)”或“Thoseare…(那些是……)”。these和those做主语时,后面的动词be要用are,动词后面的名词也要用复数形式,以保持数的一致。如:
Thesearemyclassmatesandthosearemyteachers.这些是我的同学,那些是我的老师。
these或those也可用来修饰名词时,名词要用复数形式。
Thesebooksarenew.这些书是新的。
Thosenewspapersareold.那些报纸是旧的。
注意:回答主语是these或those的一般疑问句时,通常用they来代替问句中的these或those做主语,以避免重复。肯定回答用Yes,theyare.(不能缩写成they’re);否定回答用No,theyaren’t.如:

这是由here引起的倒装句型,其正常语序为Myfamilyphotoishere.在“Here+is(are)+主语(名词或名词短语)”句型中,here是副词,置于句首起强调作用,应重读。动词is(are)须位于主语之前,主语如是单数,用动词is,主语是复数用动词are。如:

两者都表示“谢谢”。thankyou中的thank用作及物动词,通常用于thanksomebodythanksomebodyfor(doing)something结构中。thank用作名词时,只能用复数形式thanks,可以说Thanksalot.Manythanks.不可以说athank。表示“因……感谢”,也可以说“thanksfor(doing)something。如:

1)形容词的作用
形容词在句子中一般充当表语、定语和宾语补足语,如:

2)形容词的级别
形容词有三种级别,即原级、比较级和最高级。当讨论的对象是一个时应使用原级,当讨论的对象是两个时应使用比较级,当讨论的对象为三个或更多时应使用最高级。
在形容词原级后面加上er就成为比较级,在原级后加上est就成为最高级。一般的单音节形容词直接加er或est,词尾是不发音字母e的只加r或st,重读闭音节应先双写词尾辅音字母再加er或est,如:
long—longer—longest,
nice—nicer—nicest,
big—bigger—biggest。
以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节形容词应先将y改为i再加er或est,如:
early—earlier—earliest,
dirty—dirtier—dirtiest,
busy—busier—busiest。
多音节的形容词比较级应在前面加上more,最高级应在前面加上most,如:
important—moreimportant—mostimportant,
difficult—moredifficult—mostdifficult。
有些特殊的形容词有自己的变化规律,如:
good/well—better—best,bad/badly—worse—worst,
many/much—more—most,little—less—least,
far—farther/further—farthest/furthest。
形容词的比较级句型应使用连词than或or,如:
