1、宇宙是由物质组成的

①天体类型

C、行星 在椭圆形轨道上环绕太阳运行的、近似球形的天体。自身不能发光。

D、卫星 环绕行星运行的、质量很小的一种天体。月球是地球的惟一的一颗卫星。

E、流星体 行星际空间的尘粒和固体小块。沿同一轨道绕太阳运行的大群流星体,称为流星群,闯入地球大气层的流星体,因同大气摩擦而产生的光迹,划过长空,好像从空中的某一点向外散射开,这种现象叫做流星体。

F、彗星 在扁长轨道上绕太阳运行的一种质量较小的天体,呈云雾状。

此外,还有其它的星际物质。其中,恒星和星云是两种最基本的天体

②天体系统的层次

任何天体在宇宙中都有自己的位置,各天体之间相互吸引相互绕转,形成天体系统。各级天体系统的组成如下:

A、地月系 月球绕地球转动形成地月系。地球是中心天体,月球是地球的惟一的天然卫星。

B、太阳系 太阳、地球和其他行星及其卫星、小行星、彗星、流星体、星际物质构成太阳系。

C、银河系 太阳系和其他恒星系构成银河系。在银河系以外,还有大约10亿个同其相类似的天体系统,人称河外星系。

D、总星系 银河系和现阶段所能观测到的河外星系,统称为总星系。
